My son Ronan and I were lucky enough to be part of the Heroes Cast strike day Dec 11,2007.
We were excited to meet all of our favorites and we were blown away by Dania Ramirez, who plays Maya Herrera the black eyed accidential killer on this season of Heroes. She showed up in jeans and a black jacket and black knee high sexy boots, dark mysterious glasses.
"Thats the black eye girl." Ronan yelled and we headed over to introduce ourselves. Dania was happy to pose with us and I told Dania that Ronan is afraid of her characters power. He immediatly piped in, "No Im not". Dania took off her sunglasses and widened her eyes at him and he backed up a little. Throughout the day whenever she would walk past him in the picket line she lowered her glasses and made with the eyes, and he backed up a little, then stopped himself and said, "Im not afraid!".
Dania Ramirez was very gracious to all of the fans, signing comics and posing with the fans, and then she and Dana Davis took a turn around the Picket line. All of the fans really enjoyed Dania's smile and infectious laugh. She joined her fellow cast members for a new christmas carol all about the strike, and posed with fans and for the media for an hour straight.
Dania Ramirez has been in many popular shows including the Sopranos, X-Men, Fat Albert and many more her current projects include Ball Don't Lie and The Fifth Commandment.
Dania Ramirez was also on one of our family's favorite TV series of all time "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" by Joss Whedon. Dania played a potential slayer in season 7 named Caridad, she was in 3 episodes End of Days, Touched and Dirty Girls.
